Nashumu Vulnerable Girls Rescue Initiatives (NAVUGIREI) is a newly established and registered Non governmental organization based in Tanzania country Arusha Region, Usa river Town, along Arusha Moshi road with registration Number OO/NGO/R/5422. This organization is a light of hope for underserved and vulnerable girls living in extremely serious conditions within the communities. Nashumu is a Maasai word which means uplifting.The organization will eventually uplift a girl child from downtrodden state of life to a more improved situation. Underserved girls are those who do not have adequate access to resources, opportunities and support systems necessary for their development and well-being. The lack of support can originate from various factors, include socioeconomic status, geographical location, gender discrimination and socio-cultural norms.

MISSION
We fulfill our vision by empowering, mentoring, mobilizing and creating awareness to girls and community members through education and life skills initiatives in order to break, rebuke and confront all forms of abuse, harassment, oppression and violence actions practiced to girls in their lives.
VISION
Seeing girls being rescued from all forms of oppression, abuse, harassment and violence by maintaining their total freedom and dignity physically, mentally, emotionally and psychologically.
Create opportunities for underserved girls to learn, grow and succeed in all areas of lives.
OBJECTIVES
1. Education: To ensure access to quality education for underserved and vulnerable girls, including scholarships, school fees, school supplies, and after-school programs.
2. Health and Wellbeing: To promote health and hygiene education, providing access to healthcare services, and support mental and emotional health initiatives for undeserved and vulnerable girls.
3. Economic Empowerment: To equip underserved and vulnerable girls with vocational training, entrepreneurship skills, and financial literacy to enhance their economic independence and financial freedom for employability and self-employment.
4. Advocacy and Rights: To advocate for the rights of vulnerable and underserved girls, including protection from violence and exploitation, harmful traditions and cultural practices and promote gender equity and equality.
5. Community Engagement: To engage local communities to support girls’ education and rights, fostering an environment where girls can thrive, heard, valued and their rights and dignity respected.

WHAT WE DO
Our aim is to provide quality education, healthcare, economic empowerment , right advocacy needed to ensure these girls not only survive but thrive, transforming their future and their communities. NAVUGIREI is an initiative because it dares to go to remote and underserved communities to reach targeted group with our programs.
Education Programs
We provide sponsorships and educational facilities to girls who are identified and registered in NAVUGIREI. We offer vocational and life skills training through mentorship, workshops, and seminars. We also implement after-school programs and extracurricular activities to enhance learning, personal development, and leadership skills. Our goal is to empower each girl for future success and self-sufficiency.
Health and Wellbeing initiatives
We provide Health education, Healthcare Access, Sanitary products distribution, Counseling and guidance programs, Sports and games facilities. Promote nutrition programs and initiatives to address malnutrition and health issues. Support mental health initiatives and provide counseling services for girls in need.
Economic empowerment
We offer programs in entrepreneurship, creativity, and innovation, along with financial literacy workshops to empower and educate girls and community members.
Gender Advocacy
We offer advocacy for rights, gender mainstreaming initiatives, and comprehensive legal support programs to promote equality and justice in the community.
Volunteer Programs
We offer Volunteering programs to provide opportunities for individuals to contribute time, technical support and skills, fostering our organizational development, support and meaningful social impact.
Survivor Centers
We operate centers and safe houses for survivors of gender-based violence, providing secure shelter, education, food, treatments and essential legal support services as well as practical strategies for recovery.

Breaking cultural and traditional barriers inhibiting girls growth and wellbeing: In many rural underserved communities girls are mostly affected by harmful cultural and traditional practices such as Female genital mutilation (FGM), early and forced marriages, unwanted pregnancies, sexual abuse, harassment, mistreatment, gender based violence, sold for dowry and child labor. Your support can help us to prepare programs to assist girls to break these barriers facing them by creating awareness and enable girls to identify and claim their rights.
